About the Forum

Futures of Education Forum is a global initiative of UNESCO that aims to reimagine how knowledge and learning can shape the future. It is a global ongoing dialogue that brings together a variety of stakeholders, including social leaders, policymakers, educators, researchers, and youth, to discuss and explore innovative approaches to education. By promoting a collective vision for the future of education, the Futures of Education Forum aims to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular focus on Goal 4 of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all and promoting lifelong learning opportunities.

The theme of Futures of Education Forum 2024 is “Family Education and Legacy”, by discussing and promoting this important educational topic, we can work together to foster a harmonious and prosperous society and build a better future. The first local Futures of Education Forum was held in 2020.

Objectives:

  1. To foster family education and family tradition development in Hong Kong
  2. To promote Hong Kong as an international family office hub

Overview:

The family is the basic unit of society and the country. Therefore, building a harmonious and prosperous society and country must start with building a family. Family education and legacy is the process of passing on values, knowledge, skills, and culture to the next generation. It plays an important role in shaping an individual’s values, behavior, and social interactions. At the same time, family education and legacy have a long-term impact on an individual’s growth and development. Through quality and comprehensive family education, we can ensure that the next generation inherits and passes on positive values, knowledge, and skills, empowering them to contribute to building a better society.
